     Even though this paper was meant for a professional audiance, it does have some interesting information about the Gorzkie Zale. Dr. Koloze shows that these Lenten Lamentations have a uniqueness that warrant preservation. His paper is a much needed commentary during a time of "ethnic cleansing" within the Roman Catholic Church. The paper shows a religious tradition that has maintained its format over the centuries. Therefore, we, as people of Polish ancestry, need to keep the Gorzkie Zale and other ethnic religious traditions alive. If we don't then they will only become a footnote in history.
